What school requirements do I need to have for air traffic control training?
In order to be able to apply for air traffic control training, i.e. to become an air traffic controller CHE, the following school requirements must be met:
- Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (Vocational Diploma), High School Diploma, Vocational Baccalaureate, Specialized Baccalaureate or equivalent qualification
Furthermore:
- Swiss citizenship (mandatory for military training), branch C or citizen of an EU-28/EFTA country
- Age at start of training: 18 to 28 years
- Very good knowledge of German, French or Italian, at least level C1
- Good knowledge of English, level B2
