There are the following three specializations in X-ray training:
- Diagnostic radiology: X-rays of bones and soft tissue, vascular imaging, computer tomography, magnetic resonance imaging
- Nuclear medicine: use of radioactive substances in diagnostics and therapy
- Radiation oncology: planning the irradiation of tumors, radiation therapy
