What are the admission requirements for a DAS in family work?
The following admission requirements generally apply to postgraduate courses at Universities in the form of CAS and DAS:
- Degree from a Universities (Bachelor, Master, Diploma, NDS, EMBA, MAS)
- At least two years of qualified professional practice
Depending on the Universities, there may also be other specific requirements, which you should enquire about directly with the individual schools. If you do not have one of the above-mentioned university degrees, but would still like to attend a Diploma of Advanced Studies course in the field of working with relatives, you also have the option of being admitted "sur dossier" if you have sufficient qualifications. For more detailed information, please contact the Universities directly. Other requirements must be met for an MAS (Master of Advanced Studies). This continuing education, further training requires that participants already have basic experience in nursing, so that one of the following qualifications is required:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Master of Science in Nursing
- Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education in Nursing (incl. advanced specialist training in nursing level I or level II or postgraduate studies CHE)
"Sur Dossier" admission is open to nursing professionals with an Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education (Achtung: Diploma HFP) and continuing education, further training of at least 300 hours. For all qualifications, professional experience in the healthcare sector of at least two years and a good command of English are also required.
