What are the admission requirements for the Bachelor in Automotive Engineering (UAS)?

If you want to work as an automotive engineer UAS (BSc), you need one of the following prerequisites for admission to a Bachelor's degree program in automotive engineering at a University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland:

  • Completed apprenticeship with Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (VET Diploma) as a vehicle mechanic, agricultural machinery mechanic, automotive mechatronics technician, engine mechanic, body shop mechanic, construction machinery mechanic or motorcycle mechanic, or as an electronics technician, metalworker, design engineer, automation technician or polymechanic, if apprenticeship in a vehicle-related company or practical relevance to automotive engineering
  • Federal Vocational Baccalaureate or Baccalaureate
  • 1 year of qualifying professional experience with basic training in an unrelated field, a non-specialist Federal Vocational Baccalaureate or Federal Vocational Baccalaureate or after grammar school
  • Entrance examination
  • Baccalaureate and 1 year of qualifying professional experience plus entrance exam
