Anyone with a technical apprenticeship and Federal Vocational Baccalaureate or a corresponding Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education (Achtung: Engl) or CHE diploma is admitted to the Bachelor's degree course in Optometry without an examination.

Persons with a Baccalaureate or Federal Vocational Baccalaureate in another field must also complete a one-year internship (work experience) in optometry before beginning their studies.
