What continuing education, further training can I do as an electrician?

After completing basic training as an electrician, you have many different options for further training in line with your interests. For example, you can complete a shortened apprenticeship of just two years to become a Federal VET Diploma electrical planner or Federal VET Diploma telematics technician, or you can prepare for Federal Professional Examination (FPE) courses with a Federal certificate as an electrical safety consultant, electrical project manager or telematics project manager. Electrical fitters also have the option of studying at a College of Higher Education, for example to become a qualified CHE electrical engineering technician, as well as studying at a University of Applied Sciences in building services engineering or electrical engineering if you have a Federal Vocational Baccalaureate. You can also attend further training courses on various topics, such as electrical team leader, NIV 8 Low Voltage Installation Ordinance or NIV 15 Low Voltage Connection Permit.
