Which continuing education, further training in tourism is federally recognized?
In the tourism industry, you will find training courses leading to the Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (Hotel-Gastro-Tourism HGT, Travel Agency Management Assistant, Hotel Management Assistant, Restaurant Management Assistant), as well as continuing education, Vocational Education and Training (FPE) or Advanced Professional Examination (AFPE) in tourism. Training and continuing education, further training at Colleges of Higher Education (CHE), Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS) and universities are also possible. Federal Professional Examinations in tourism include the Federal Diploma of Higher Education as a Tourism Assistant, Travel Specialist, Tourism Management Specialist and others. Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) courses include continuing education, further training as a tourism expert or restaurant manager. At HFs, you can choose between the Hôtelier-Restaurateur/Hôtelière-Restauratrice, Tourism Specialist and Housekeeping Manager courses.
