Anyone who wants to manage a car dealership or parts of a dealership, such as vehicle sales, customer service, finance, workshop, administration or spare parts sales, is well advised to complete a solid continuing education, further training in the field of automotive technology. Such continuing education, further training can already be a Federal Professional Examination in the relevant field as well as many years of experience and an outstanding way of working, or a Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE), preferably as a business administrator in the automotive industry. This requires a federal certificate in the automotive industry and at least two years of professional experience after obtaining this certificate. You should also have good negotiating skills and exceptional communication skills in order to hold your own in a managerial position in the automotive industry.
