What are the requirements for social pedagogy training at a College of Higher Education?
Anyone wishing to complete a social pedagogy course at a College of Higher Education (CHE), for example to become a qualified social pedagogue CHE, requires a qualification at upper-secondary level (Gymnasium, Specialized School, apprenticeship of at least 3 years) or an equivalent qualification. Without relevant previous education, e.g. as a Federal VET Diploma care specialist with 400 hours of professional experience, a pre-study internship or professional experience of at least 800 hours in the social pedagogical field is also recommended. In addition, the admission procedure of the training provider must be passed.
