What requirements do I have to meet to take the Federal Professional Examination in Computer Science?
In order to be admitted to the Federal Professional Examination (FPE) for ICT Application Developer (formerly known as Computer Scientist), you must already have completed training in application development or have sufficient professional experience. The examination regulations stipulate the following qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science with Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (VET Diploma) and at least 2 years of professional experience in application development
Or
- Federal VET Diploma, higher education qualification or equivalent and at least 4 years of professional experience in information and communication technology (ICT), including at least 2 years in application development
Or
- Professional experience of at least 6 years in the field of ICT, including at least 2 years in application development
