The following requirements apply for the Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) for Construction Supervisors:

• Federal VET Diploma as a draftsman/ draughtswoman, specializing in architecture or civil engineering or an equivalent qualification and at least 4 years of proven practice as a site manager
• Other Federal VET Diploma or equivalent qualification and at least 5 years of proven practice as a site manager
• Federal Diploma of Higher Education (CHE) or Bachelor's degree from a College of Applied Sciences (UAS) or University or equivalent qualification and at least 5 years of professional experience as a site manager.

CHE construction supervisors must meet the following requirements:

• Completion of day construction school
• Building construction/civil engineering foreman with Federal Diploma of Higher Education
• At least 1 year of professional experience as a construction foreman

As a rule, university graduates with a Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related subject and at least two years of professional experience in the construction industry are admitted to the MAS Construction Management.
