What requirements do I need to fulfill to study architecture?
You can study architecture at a University of Applied Sciences as well as at a Federal Institutes of Technology (FIT) or University. For admission to a University of Applied Sciences, one of the following requirements must be met:
- Baccalaureate and at least 12 months of practical experience in an architectural office
- Degree in Federal Vocational Baccalaureate in Architecture with Federal Vocational Baccalaureate
- Completion of other vocational education and training (VET) with Federal Vocational Baccalaureate and at least 6 months of professional experience in an architectural office
- Passing an entrance examination
In order to be admitted to an FIT, prospective students must have a Baccalaureate or a Passerelle, or a degree from a university of applied sciences or an equivalent qualification. Anyone who does not have one of these qualifications must take an entrance examination.
