In order to be able to take the Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) for master heating engineers, the following is required:

• Federal Diploma of Higher Education as head fitter for heating or equivalent qualification

and

• At least 4 years of professional experience in the heating industry after completing vocational education and training (Federal VET Diploma)

and

• Proof of the required module qualifications or certificates of equivalence
