What requirements do I have to fulfill for a Federal Professional Examination in Building Services?
In the field of building services, for example, you can train to become a janitor with a Federal Diploma of Higher Education (FPE) or a maintenance specialist with a Federal Diploma of Higher Education.
A completed apprenticeship and at least two years of professional experience as a janitor working 80% of the time are required for continuing education, further training. The following certificates and qualifications are also required:
- European Computer Driving License Base (ECDL)
- Course certificate as a vocational trainer in training companies
- Specialist authorization for the use of plant protection products in special areas
- Emergency aid card (according to the instructions in the guidelines)
- Complete BLS-AED-SRC certificate (life-saving resuscitation measures)
A technical vocational education and training (VET) and at least two years of professional experience in a technical profession in the field of maintenance are required for the Federal Professional Examination for Maintenance Specialist (FPE). Or another Federal VET Diploma, a vocational, technical or high school diploma or an equivalent qualification and at least six years of professional experience in a technical profession, at least two years of which must be in maintenance. Finally, the required module qualifications or certificates of equivalence must also be available.
