What requirements must an Ayurveda training course in experiential medicine fulfill for the EMR label?

In order to be registered in the Empirical Medical Register (EMR) with the Ayurveda method (EMR method group no. 22), various criteria must be met, such as regular further training and professional practice of the method. The requirements in terms of training are

  • at least 600 learning hoursMedical basics
  • at least 500 learning hoursAyurveda specialist trainingof which at least

    • 200 learning hours of Ayurveda basics
    • 150 hours of Ayurveda nutrition counseling (method no. 24)
    • 150 learning hours of Ayurveda massage (method no. 28)

Up to five sub-methods can be registered with the EMR under Ayurveda method group no. 22. In addition to the training in Ayurveda basics, methods no. 24 and 28 are mandatory. Aromatherapy (method no. 11, min. 100 learning hours), Ayurveda remedies (no. 26, min. 300 hours) and Hatha Yoga/Ayurveda Yoga (no. 88, min. 300 hours) can be registered as additional optional sub-methods.

Attention: From 1.1.2029, registration with method group no. 22 is no longer possible.
