Welche Voraussetzungen müssen angehende Architekten für das Architektur Studium erfüllen?

What requirements do prospective architects need to fulfill to study architecture?

If you are interested in studying architecture, in addition to the necessary school requirements such as

  • a relevant Federal Vocational Baccalaureate (e.g. as a draughtsman/Federal Vocational Baccalaureate specializing in architecture) and the Federal Vocational Baccalaureate
  • Vocational education and training (VET) in another profession with a Federal Vocational Baccalaureate
  • A Specialized Baccalaureate
  • a Baccalaureate

and relevant professional experience in a recognized architecture firm, you must above all have a keen interest in all facets of architecture and the will to persevere with your studies, even during very strenuous phases. Good spatial imagination and manual dexterity, perseverance, persistence and critical faculties, self-confidence, basic mathematical understanding, presentation skills and creative expression are important basic requirements for prospective architects. An interest in planning, architectural-constructive, political, economic and ecological issues relating to the design of living spaces is just as important as an interest in constructive and geometric issues. To be on the safe side, ask your school about the explicit prerequisites.
