What activities does a product manager perform?
As a product manager, you can work in a wide variety of companies where you are responsible for a department or a product line. There, you will primarily deal with market requirements, prepare analyses and carry out market research. You will recognize the market potential and always keep an eye on competitor activities in order to remain competitive.
In product management, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a suitable product strategy and will deal in detail with the value proposition and pricing policy. You know the needs of the market and develop new products and services on this basis, which you bring to market and monitor. In cooperation with the individual specialists, you will plan and implement all necessary promotional and advertising measures for the individual products or product lines in product management. Sales policy and the monitoring of controlling also usually fall within the remit of the product manager.
