In the Bachelor's degree program at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland FHNW, students can choose modules from a selection of modules. At least eight modules in mathematics and natural sciences must be selected, such as analysis, algebra, linear algebra, integral transformations, modeling of dynamic systems, probability theory and statistics, heat and radiation, electromagnetism, materials, mechanics, vibrations and waves. In addition, there are at least four modules from Electrical Engineering 1 (digital technology, general electrical engineering, analog technology, analog circuit technology), at least three modules from Electrical Engineering 2 (communication technology, signal processing, digital signal processing, power electronics and drives, control engineering), at least three modules from the field of computer science (microcontrollers, object-oriented programming, data networks), at least four laboratory modules, at least six in-depth modules and at least six project modules, at least eleven modules for contextual education. In addition, supplementary modules can be taken.
