What skills does the certificate course in vegetation analysis and field botany teach?
The CAS Certificate of Advanced Studies in Vegetation Analysis & Field Botany enables you to identify sour and sweet grasses, willows, sedges and other plant species in their flowering and vegetative state using identification tools and specialized literature, to identify, delimit and evaluate vegetation units and to select plant species for flood protection. At the end of the course, participants will be able to plan projects, enter, manage, evaluate and interpret vegetation data with the aid of the VEGEDAZ program, and create vegetation mapping, monitoring projects and experimental designs using aerial photographs and GPS.
