What content does a photography course teach?
As there are very different types of courses, the content is of course not identical everywhere. For example, the content of a longer intensive course may look like this:
- Cameras and lenses
- Aperture shutter and aperture
- Light and colors
- Exposure to artificial light and daylight
- Accessories and software
- Resolution, retouching and printing
- In practice: your own photo studio
- Create a professional photo portfolio
- First orders received
Shorter workshops, such as a three-hour landscape photography workshop, have completely different priorities. Most of these photography courses require participants to have basic knowledge, otherwise they should always be attended first. For example, an advanced course can focus on the following topics:
- Achieve depth effect
- Backlit shots, stray light
- Detail and structural photography
- Photographing reflections
- Using a tripod for long exposures
In a photography course on the subject of animal photography, for example, focusing, motion sharpness and telephoto lenses are discussed, and in night photography, long exposure, painting with light and the correct flash settings.
