What does a beginner's Arabic course teach?
The content of a beginners' Arabic course depends on the language school, the type of course and the duration of the course. In most cases, however, you will mainly learn oral communication, including grammar and pronunciation. Writing and reading Arabic (almost always standard Arabic) are also taught in a beginners' course, as well as cultural aspects, some history and landscape studies.
An Arabic course for beginners includes topics such as the following:
- Greeting and farewell (e.g. "Good day Mr. Chatti" )
- Introducing yourself (e.g. "My name is Rosa and I'm from Bern")
- Introducing other people (e.g. "this is Eva, my sister")
- Describe your own language skills (e.g. "I don't speak Arabic very well")
- Question about profession (e.g. "What is your profession?")
- Question about place of residence (e.g. "Where do you live?")
- Description of people and objects (e.g. "Hanna is wearing a short, green dress")
As the training content can vary depending on the school, it makes sense to find out exactly what you need to know in advance. Quickly, easily and without obligation via our contact form.
