Which foreign language do I have to learn during my apprenticeship as a commercial clerk?
The apprenticeship to become a merchant with Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (VET Diploma) can be completed with three different profiles, B-Profile, E-Profile and M-Profile with Federal Vocational Baccalaureate (BM). Depending on which profile you choose, you will learn different languages. Management assistants with basic basic training (B profile) learn English as a foreign language, management assistants with extended basic training (E profile) and Federal Vocational Baccalaureate (M profile) learn English and French, provided that their first national language is German.
