A specific apprenticeship qualification is not mandatory for the Federal Professional Examination (FPE) to become a PR specialist. If you have completed an apprenticeship in a sales profession, in the graphics sector or as a businessman / businesswoman with a Federal VET Diploma, as well as a higher-level qualification (Matura, Advanced Federal Diploma of Higher Education, commercial or technical secondary school diploma, university diploma in the commercial sector or industry-related Federal Diploma of Higher Education), you also need two years of professional experience in one of the following areas: Public relations, marketing communications, sales, journalism, direct marketing, marketing. Without one of these qualifications, you must have three years' professional experience in one of the areas mentioned.
