Special needs teachers can be found in many areas of school and extracurricular support, where the aim is to provide individual support for people with special needs. Over the last few years, this activity has become increasingly important, so that four professional fields have been derived from the former curative education training: speech therapy, curative early education, school-based curative education and psychomotor therapy. All of these professions can be completed as part of a university degree course, as can university degrees in clinical curative education, social pedagogy and special education. After successfully completing your training, you can choose to specialize and deepen your knowledge in the form of certificate courses (CAS) or postgraduate courses (MAS), for example in sign language interpreting, as a disabled sports teacher or riding instructor.
