Welche Ausbildungsinhalte fordert das EMR für medizinische Grundlagen Lehrgänge?

What training content does the EMR require for basic medical training courses?

Certain content requirements apply to basic medical training courses that prepare for entry in the Experiential Medical Register (EMR). A distinction is made between two training certificates:

  • Proof of training in experiential medicine (EM)
  • Medical training certificate (SM)

While the content of the EM certificate must correspond to the chosen method, the SM certificate prescribes specific conventional medical principles in the course plan. This content is based on a classical medical understanding and covers the following topics:

  • Anatomy: structure of the human body
  • Physiology: Function and processes in the organism
  • Pathology: the study of diseases and their causes
  • Hygiene: basics of health care and infection prevention
  • Emergency measures: First aid and immediate life-saving measures
  • Medical history and diagnostics: taking a medical history and basic diagnostic techniques
  • Psychology including conversation: basics of human behavior and professional communication
  • Psychosomatics: connections between mental well-being and physical health

These subjects cover the essential basics to be able to act competently and responsibly in a therapeutic environment. They promote a comprehensive understanding of the human body and of physical and mental illness processes.

Please note: Each school can design its course content individually. It is therefore worth asking the school of your choice directly about the exact content and comparing it with the requirements of the training certificates.
