With an apprenticeship qualification, especially in the construction industry, you have the opportunity to apply for continuing education, further training as a CHE construction management technician, for example, provided you pass the entrance examination. However, even without vocational education and training in this field, you can be admitted to this College of Higher Education with an additional year of professional experience on a construction site. The same applies to the courses leading to a diploma in CHE construction planning. Admission to the Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) in Construction Management requires much more professional experience (5-6 years in qualified work), even for people with an apprenticeship qualification from the construction industry. Applicants with the following Federal VET Diploma will be admitted:

• Structural draftsman
• Civil engineering draughtsman
• Steel construction draftsman
• Interior decorator
• Spatial planner
• Carpenter
• Bricklayer
