When people talk about fiduciaries, they often mean people who have a federal certificate as a fiduciary (FPE). However, this is by no means the only way to gain a foothold or develop further in this field. There are many certificate courses, for example in:

• Fiduciary (Cert.)
• Limited audit (cert.)
• Expert in accounting and controlling (certified)
• Fiduciary clerk (certified)

In addition to the Federal Professional Examination mentioned above, there is a second examination leading to a Federal Diploma of Higher Education in this field, namely the Federal Diploma of Higher Education in Finance and Accounting.
Building on this, various further training courses are possible, which are completed with an Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE). These are, for example

• Accounting and controlling expert with federal diploma
• Certified public accountant with federal diploma
• Fiduciary expert with a federal diploma
• Real estate trustee with federal diploma

There are also a number of courses available at Colleges of Higher Education or Universities of Applied Sciences, as well as postgraduate courses, such as a Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Fiduciary and Management Consulting (UAS), a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in International Accounting & Reporting and many more.
