A job interview is a sales pitch. You want to sell yourself in the best possible way and get the job on offer, so a positive self-presentation can of course be useful. But don't overdo it and don't pretend to be someone you're not. Remain open and as honest as possible, as long as it doesn't harm you. Let the other person have the floor, but don't let them pull everything out of your nose.
