What does a workshop coordinator do?
In garages, automotive workshop coordinators with a federal certificate are employed as managers and are the contact persons for customers. They have in-depth knowledge of vehicle electrics and electronics, manage technical staff and apprentices, advise customers, localize faults and order repair and maintenance work on infotainment, safety, comfort and driver assistance systems, as well as vehicle electrical systems. They monitor the work and are responsible for meeting deadlines and keeping costs down.
