What does a Product Manager do?

A product manager is responsible for the support and introduction of one or more of a company's products. They are responsible for planning, developing and launching new services and products, which must be aligned with both market demand and the company's philosophy. Extensive marketing knowledge is essential for this. They are entrusted with situation analyses, market potential evaluations, strategy development, the development of promotional and advertising measures, market adaptation, sales and pricing policy, budget design, monitoring of controlling and the management of business negotiations. Product managers work closely with the public relations, sponsoring and advertising departments, as well as with advertising agencies, printers, photographers and other external and internal specialists.
