Property management professionals are trained specialists in the management of condominium and co-ownership properties. Property managers often lead a small team of two to three people and manage properties from a technical, commercial and sustainability perspective. Their tasks include analyzing the condition of properties and obtaining quotes for refurbishment and renovation work, placing and monitoring orders, rectifying defects, selecting tenants, handing over and accepting rented properties, working with janitors and any new hires, setting an appropriate rent and drawing up marketing strategies and concepts, property accounting, drawing up rental contracts and enforcing landlords' claims, reporting to owners and dunning and debt collection.
