Was lernt man in einer Naturarzt- / Naturheilpraktiker-Ausbildung mit Schuldiplom (Zert.)?

What do you learn in a naturopath / naturopath training course with a school diploma (cert.)?

ATTENTION: Are you interested in training to become a "naturopath"? - Then you should know: These designations are no longer permitted in Switzerland, as the word components "doctor" and "physician" are only permitted for people with a university degree and qualification. The term "naturopath", on the other hand, is just right for you.

A naturopathic practitioner training course with a degree from the school provides in-depth knowledge in the central areas of the respective naturopathic method. The aim is to develop a holistic understanding of the human body, the development of disease and naturopathic treatment approaches. Typical course content includes

  • Fundamentals of the chosen specialization: history, development, advancement and current relevance
  • Anatomy, physiology and pathological basics (e.g. common clinical pictures)
  • Basic principles, concepts, modes of action and application techniques of the respective method
  • Structure and procedure of a complete naturopathic treatment
  • Indications, contraindications and limitations of the chosen form of therapy

The focus can vary depending on the type of training. In Traditional European Naturopathy (TEN), for example, the focus is on nutrition, detoxification procedures and herbal medicine, while Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) focuses on acupuncture and energetic diagnostics. Other disciplines such as Ayurvedic medicine or homeopathy bring their own teaching content and treatment concepts to the table.

Important: The specific content of the training may vary depending on the school, but reputable providers will base it on the guidelines of the Organization of Alternative Medicine (OdA AM).
