Was lerne ich in Strafrecht?
What do I learn in criminal law?
The content that is learned in criminal law depends on which law you want to learn, such as Swiss law or international law. On the other hand, it also depends on which type of course is attended and which focus is chosen.
A bachelor's degree in law at a university teaches basic knowledge as well as in-depth knowledge, e.g. on the facts, unlawfulness and guilt.
Students learn all about intent, preparation and attempt, perpetration and participation, legal grounds and the methodical approach to case processing. Topics such as omission offenses, the doctrine of error, negligence offenses, theories of crime, the scope of the Criminal Code and penalties and measures are also often covered.
CAS (Certificate of Advanced Studies) courses are less extensive, but more specialized in selected areas.
