Was ist eine Lerntechnik denn eigentlich genau?
What exactly is a learning technique?
People learn throughout their lives, some more, others less. In principle, it is therefore easy for us to absorb new knowledge, we just need to know how to do this most easily. It is particularly helpful if you are motivated and see the purpose of this learning process. A learning technique is a tool that you can use to increase the learning effect and to memorize knowledge more quickly, but above all more effectively. It is helpful if you are aware of which learning type you belong to (motor, auditory, visual, communicative) and select learning methods that correspond to this type. This means that you will have little learning success if you mainly listen to learning CDs (e.g. Spanish for beginners) in order to learn a new language in this way, but you are not an auditory learner at all, but rather a communicative learner, i.e. one who needs exchange and interaction. Only when you are aware of what type of learner you are can you look for a learning technique that will enable you to learn better. Such learning techniques can include mind mapping, the loci method, flashcards, speed reading and many more. Planning, taking breaks and repetition are also learning techniques. In a course for exam preparation, mental training, learning therapy or tutoring, you will encounter very different methods, but they should always suit your learning style. You should therefore talk to the training provider before deciding on a course.
