What is an early childhood educator?
Early childhood educator is no longer a common job title.
Today, professionals whose job it is to educate and support children are calledSpecialist in childcare (FaBe) specializing in children. In her case, the educator training is the vocational education and training (VET) and concludes with the Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (VET).
At the higher vocational training level, there is also a course leading to thequalified childhood educators CHE/ to thequalified childhood educator CHE.
Specialists in both professions are essentially responsible for promoting children's motor, linguistic and mental skills, social skills and personality, planning games and leading various activities. At CHE level, they also have administrative, conceptual and management tasks.
