A certificate from the 6th primary school class (fall semester) is required for admission to the central entrance examination for the Langgymnasium. Anyone who turns 15 after April 30 of the year of entry can register for the exam. The written examinations take place at the beginning of March. A report from the 2nd secondary school class in the fall semester or the 3rd secondary school class in the fall semester is required for the central entrance examination for the short grammar school, which also takes place at the beginning of March.
