Was ist der Unterschied zwischen einer Ausbildung zur Büroassistentin und zur Kauffrau?
What is the difference between training as an office assistant and as a business administrator?
Training to become an office assistant is an apprenticeship that lasts two years and concludes with the Federal Certificate of Vocational Education and Training (VET Certificate). This type of basic training is particularly suitable for students who aspire to commercial professions, have lower academic achievements and have completed lower-secondary level (VET) with basic requirements. Foreign language skills are not required. Good foreign language skills in English or French and a lower-secondary Education and Training (Vocational Education and Training) with intermediate requirements are a prerequisite for training to become a business administrator with a Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (VET Diploma). There is also a choice of different profiles for the commercial apprenticeship: the B profile is regarded as basic education, the E profile as extended basic education and M or E with BM as extended basic education (E) with Federal Vocational Baccalaureate (BM), whereby this profile requires very good academic performance.
