What is the difference between an MAS and a Master in Banking and Finance?

An MAS, a Master of Advanced Studies in Banking and Finance, is a postgraduate degree program that was developed primarily for specialists and managers and therefore requires professional experience. It is considered a specialization, but does not necessarily require a Bachelor's degree in the same subject area. A Master of Science or Master of Arts is a consecutive degree that builds on a Bachelor's degree and can only be attended by graduates with precisely defined qualifications, such as economists, business lawyers, business economists or academics from related disciplines.
