What is the difference between psychologist, psychology and psychiatrist?
Here is a brief explanation of the terms:
A psychologist has studied psychology. However, this does not mean that they work in counseling/therapy.
A psychotherapist has studied psychology and undergone further training; he advises clients.
A psychiatrist is a doctor and can prescribe medication.
So to become a psychiatrist, you have to study medicine.
Psychologist training is offered at university level (UAS and university).
