What is the difference between a CAS and DAS in Business Law?
A certificate course (CAS) at a Universities in Business Law is usually part of a comprehensive Master's degree program (MAS), which is credited with 10 to 15 ECTS credits (MAS usually 60 ECTS) and is a short, specific advanced training course lasting around one year. A diploma course (DAS) is also often part of an MAS and consists of a larger number of modules than a CAS. In the case of business law at the University of St. Gallen, this is 5 modules for a CAS and 9 modules for a DAS. A DAS takes about two years and in this case is remunerated with 30 ECTS.
