What are the different low-voltage (cert.) training courses?
There are two different low voltage (cert.) courses:
- NIV 8 Preparatory course practical examination Low Voltage Installation Ordinance (cert.)
As a preparatory course for the practical examination of the Low Voltage Installation Ordinance in accordance with NIV Art. 8 for specialist knowledge in the installation sector. - Company electrician's license according to Art. 13
For work on company-owned (electrical) installations in accordance with NIV Art. 13 (company electrician). - NIV 14 Permit for installation work in solar technology (cert.):
For installation work on special systems in accordance with NIV Art. 14 (photovoltaic systems, battery systems, etc.). - NIV 15 Low-voltage connection permit (cert.):
The basics of electrical engineering are taught. Calculations for direct, alternating and three-phase alternating voltage are also included. The content of the course is based on the examination regulations of the Swiss Federal Inspectorate for Heavy Current Installations (ESTI).
