Was genau versteht man unter Ödemtheapie?
What exactly is edema therapy?
Edema consists of fluid that accumulates in the tissue and either prevents lymph drainage or increases the inflow to the connective tissue, resulting in water retention. A basic distinction is made between low-protein and high-protein edema. Diuretics can be used to treat low-protein oedema, in which capillary blood pressure and colloid osmotic force are increased, while physical oedema therapy is used for high-protein oedema with increased capillary permeability and reduced lymphatic drainage. This consists of manual lymphatic drainage / physical decongestion therapy, edema grips and compression treatments.
