Postgraduate courses, or NDK for short, are continuing education courses that build on a university degree or a diploma from a College of Higher Education. However, people can also be admitted "sur dossier". An NDK is often part of a postgraduate degree course (NDS), which, like the NDK, is considered a specialization and in-depth study in a very specific professional field. Today, the term "Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS)" is often used for this type of continuing education, further training.
