Palliative care is considered to be the care and treatment of terminally, chronically progressive or life-threatening patients for whom treatment itself no longer plays a significant role. The aim is to maintain or restore an appropriate quality of life until the time of death and to provide support for relatives. In addition to nursing care, medical, psychological, spiritual and social treatments and measures are also included.
