Become a Digital Collaboration Specialist: This is how it works
What do I need to become a Digital Collaboration Specialist?
Anyone wishing to train as a Digital Collaboration Specialist must meet certain requirements when taking the exam. These are set out in the examination regulations and can be achieved in three ways:
The following admission routes are possible:
- Federal VET Diploma in a commercial, IT-related or mediamatic field (e.g. commercial clerk, IT specialist, mediamatician, ICT specialist) or an equivalent qualification and at least 2 years of professional experience with ICT applications
- Baccalaureate (Baccalaureate, Specialized Baccalaureate or Federal Vocational Baccalaureate) or equivalent qualification and at least 3 years of professional experience in ICT
- Federal VET Diploma in another professional field or an equivalent qualification and at least 4 years of professional experience in the ICT sector
Other admission options, such as at least 6 years of professional experience without a Federal VET Diploma, are offered by individual training providers as part of a "sur dossier" assessment.
Also helpful for successful continuing education, further training Digital Collaboration Specialist:
- Solid IT skills and technical understanding
- Communication skills and service orientation
- Analytical thinking and planning skills
- Strong social skills and ability to work in a team
These skills are not mandatory for continuing education, further training as a Digital Collaboration Specialist, but they make it much easier to understand the content and apply it in everyday working life.
