Learning methods for students are important because most students' grades do not depend on their diligence and talent, but on the learning methods they happen to have acquired. Learning something means storing it in memory so that it can be recalled when needed. This process can be divided into three steps: Storing, retaining and remembering. Optimization is definitely worthwhile, because even a small improvement at each individual stage can lead to a significant improvement in the overall result.
