Becoming an investment advisor - what are the requirements?
Anyone who meets the following requirements at the start of the examination can become a financial advisor:
- Completion of vocational education and training (VET) with Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (VET), high school diploma or equivalent qualification
- At least 3 years of professional experience in banking or finance
or
- Federal Diploma of Higher Education, Federal Diploma, Diploma from a College of Higher Education, Diploma from a University of Applied Sciences (at least Bachelor) or equivalent qualification
- At least 2 years of professional experience in banking or finance
or
- University degree (Bachelor's, Master's or doctorate) or equivalent qualification
- At least 1 year of professional experience in banking or finance
