Retraining as an MPA: Are there special admission requirements for the retraining and re-entry course as a medical practice assistant?
Basic medical training is an advantage, but not mandatory, for admission to the retraining and re-entry course for medical practice assistants. Persons without such training must first undergo an aptitude interview. In this case, however, it is only possible to complete the X-ray course, which entitles you to obtain a certificate recognized by the FOPH, in very exceptional cases. Therefore, if you only wish to attend individual modules of the medical practice assistant training course to refresh your knowledge, you do not need any previous medical training. However, this is usually the case for complete training in the sense of retraining as an MPA.
