Spanish language school: What are the different language levels?
There are a large number of language schools in Switzerland that offer courses for a wide range of levels. Beginners as well as advanced learners can expand their knowledge in individual courses with people at the same language level and register for a further course at a higher level after completing the Spanish course. The Spanish language school divides the levels as follows:
- A1 - Starter
- A2 - Elementary
- B1 - Pre-Intermediate
- B2 - Intermediate
- C1 - Advanced
- C2 - Professional
This subdivision of "Spanish language school" corresponds to European standards, which, as the name suggests, are not found everywhere. If you are interested in a Spanish course abroad outside of Europe, you will probably find other classifications there. However, a placement test is always carried out in order to find the class that corresponds to your level.
