No. There are many different types of training courses on the subject of counseling. If you would like to learn about and work in the field of psychosocial counselling and want to know whether a school's degree and certificate are also recognized, it is best to enquire at theSwiss Association for Counseling SGfB. It is committed to quality assurance and professionalism in the training of counselors and maintains a list of schools that meet its quality requirements and carry its label.
Some of these courses also prepare students for theAdvanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) for psychosocial counselors with a federal diplomabefore. Federal diplomas are recognized throughout Switzerland.
